amazing.

did you know I have a sister-in-law who is amazingly talented?  I don't mean next-door-neighbor talented (who knows?  maybe your next door neighbor wins in the talent department), I mean nationally-ranked-and-recognized talented.  she just finished four years of diving for BYU, won the mountain west diving championships, and (no big deal) was just awarded with Female Athlete of the Year for the entire university.  yeah.  she's hot stuff.  in more ways than one.  and, in case you have a brother or something, she's also single, and quite the catch (you know you love me, tawn!)
she just competed at the National Diving Championships, and came out an All-American Athlete.  not to mention she placed ELEVENTH in the nation.  let's be honest, the only people who placed ahead of her were literally olympians. and don't worry, she could do that too, if she wants to.  yup.  she's amazing.  and I'm related to her.  not blood related, but who's keeping track of those things?  so, when we found out nationals were going to be in Indiana--a mere seven hour drive--we jumped in our rented toyota sienna minivan (a story for another day), and took off.
the drive was pretty (I love the out of focus tree taken from the moving car).

mack was happy in his throne.  mostly because we tied up a dvd player that spun imagination movers for almost the whole ride, but he was happy, and that's what counts.

and tawni was amazing. um, is anyone else noticing the amazingly toned muscles on that girl?

really amazing.

and we were all happy to have some time together.  DJ and I were especially excited to have them come back to pittsburgh with us for a few days.

we saw pretty places.

played in parks.

pushed grandpa around.

and played some more.

we ate yummy food, shopped to our heart's content, and talked 'til the wee hours of the morning.

oh yes.  and we took pictures.  of course.
so thanks to tawni for bringing us all together.

we love you, we're so proud of you, and...

it was all quite amazing.

Divers always amaze me! I took a diving class at BYU and I was pretty scared for the first little while and now I am pretty sure I can't do any of the simple dives i learned anymore.

Congratulations to Tawni- because that is beyond amazing!
