getting out...

February 12th

A night at the movies with a few good friends (as a disclaimer, Melanie joined us after this picture was taken). There were six of us in the entire theater due to a weather advisory (high winds) telling people to "take shelter immediately." And we did... in a nice cozy movie theater. :)

I love these murals on the sides of buildings all over Pittsburgh. If you look closely on the left side of the picture, you can see the street sign "E Carson Street," which is where this mural is located. This street has more bars per square foot than New York does people. Seriously. That's a lot of bars.

Chocolate kisses for Valentine's Day, of course. And, having nothing to do with chocolate kisses: DJ and I have a tradition of going to Olive Garden on Valentine's Day (there's a story behind that one, ask me about it sometime). Because people typically choose a restaurant that's at the higher end of what they can afford for V-Day, we got to party with the 14 year old boys, their girlfriends, and their giant stuffed bears. Awesome.

A bear, oops, I mean dog out for a Sunday ride. When I got close to take his picture he barked and I nearly dropped my camera because I was so startled. He was big. And scary. But look at that face, how could I resist?

And now for one who doesn't get out much: D. Mack. However, if he did, he would surely be wearing this super cute hat. I love this little guy.

I hope you are planning on putting these into a book. They are beautiful. I love the feet picture!

I am also loving your project 365, and I agree with Lane--you should make some project of it outside of the "bloggosphere" (which is a word I think needs to be erased entirely from social consciousness--I hate it more than most things). I hope all's well. Tyler and I are talking about a NY/DC/maybe Boston/Philly trip early summer.... I'm not sure hot far Pittsburgh is including traffic but its a heads up I may be out your way (er. somewhat--at least closer than now)

grrr, I am so bothered you didn't give me a heads up on wearing cuter shoes! You two have such cute, little dainty feet, and then there's me in my step-sister-esque clodhoppers.

The picture Mack it is great and I valentines picture looks like something you would find in magazine- awesome!
