caution...

The 'burgh is a crazy place this time of year. You'd better watch out or you'll get trampled by a Stillers fan, contract frost bite from the extreme temperatures, or get charmed by the Mackster, and then you'll never want to leave. Ever.

January 31stThe SahSahd (that's South Side for those of you who don't speak Pittsburghian).

February 1st
Super Bowl Sunday. The city was electric. I expected people to wear their jersies to church, but instead the boy saying the prayer in primary said, "thank you that we could have Steelers Friday, and please bless my mom and dad can have a good Steelers party." Amen.

February 2nd
The celebration. All the roads in dahntahn (translation: down town) were closed due to the parade for the team. See above for the proud attendees.

February 3rd
The Valentine Day aisle at Target. Just a hint for my husband that this blessed holiday is just around the corner. (I'm sure he would have remembered--this is just insurance).

February 4th
Fondue night with the girls. So, so yummy.

February 5th
Seriously Mom. Leave me alone.

February 6th
On the way home today. Apparently, the crossing guards needed some help slowing people down.

Do you feel it? Come on people, come for a visit!

Oh, I can feel it! Paul and I were talking the other night that, when we are "settled" after this summer, we need a Pittsburgh/NY trip!

I'm planning on it!!

Too bad the Steelers fans won't be parading the dahntahn streets...

Oh Amy, we'd love you to come visit! As for the Steelers fans, by then, they will probably be parading dahntahn in support for next season!

Man, if my already strong desire to come back to Pitt wasn't enough, that post just pushed me over. We're coming. Name the date.

I don't know if you remember Richie Scott, but he served his mission in Pittsburgh and was ecstatic that they won the super bowl. I'm sure the city was crazy! :)

I seriosuly do love it here. I am sad to leave. I love all the highlights. :) You missed the one about all the super great, tropical weather we get here. I guess that is just common knowledge. :)

Seriously, when was the sky ever that blue here and how did I miss it? Steelers smeelers!

Libby: Didn't I teach you that Valentine's is a commercial holiday not worth celebrating!

I loved the story about the little boys prayer. Oh boy. Your pictures are great.

That's like the cutest picture of Mack ever! Loved having lunch with you the other day and so sad you're already gone. I went to the YA show this weekend and missed you even more. There is a girl that really reminded of you. It was weird. Not the show, the fact that the girl reminded me of you.

Ok, you have to tell me who said that prayer in primary! HILARIOUS! Love all the pictures of course, but my favorites this week are the southside and the fondue!
