this is about how we feel around here today.
I know I have lots to catch up on, but here are the important things:
1. DJ is officially certified!! boards are taken. boards are passed. clinical boards are taken. clinical boards are passed. all patients are signed out. all he has left to do is to be hooded, and receive that doctorate in the mail. woot!!!
2. we have a job (in arizona, for anyone who is wondering). {happy sigh of relief}.
3. our house is sold (as pictured above :) ).
things are moving along.
I am so proud of DJ and the amazing amount of work he's put into the last four years.
things left:
find a moving company
find a house
pack
move
enjoy our remaining 28 days in the 'burgh.
lots of happy dances going on around here today.
quick story:
we walked into our house after being out for the morning during our home inspection. I picked up the mail, and saw DJ's board scores peaking out of the stack. DJ squirmed. I smiled. mack was oblivious. I knew he'd pass from day one. there was never a doubt in my mind. DJ took the envelope, and turned it over in his hands for a bit, opened it up, and picked me up and gave me a great big hug accompanied by an, " I passed!! we're done!!!" we laughed, and celebrated, and did the happy dance for a bit. we then looked down at mack who was giving us his usual squinty eye glare. he looked at us like we were crazy, then, without any warning, he crumpled into a heap on the floor and started crying. and people say girls are dramatic? they don't have a mack.
deep down, he's happy. he just doesn't know it yet. :)

Hooray! We have only gotten one envelope with passing boards scores so far (just the first of many)...but I can relate to the giddiness! Part of me is glad things are working out so you guys can move onto your new life, but the rest of me is sad you are leaving so soon!
How exciting! Congrats! Too bad we don't live in Arizona anymore. Would of been fun to go on photoshoots with you!

So much good stuff! And i know it must be a relief to have most of it all behind you. now for the moving, the not so fun part, but the finally be in AZ and starting your new life there, the fun part! Congratulations to DJ and all his hard work (and your hard work, too!).
And Mack, I can understand how he feels. He is on the verge of a lot of change, but you are right. He is going to love being closer to both grandmas and grandpas.

What a great week you had!!! Everything is lining up and life is about to seriously change!! For the better, but I still miss Pittsburgh. Soak up those last 28 days.

Congratulations all around! I'm so happy that everything has come together so nicely. If you are anything like me the next 28 days will be filled with lots of tears! Graduation... cried, leaving the house... balled, saying goodbye to friends... hysterics! Good luck with everything.
