snow day.

I haven't left the house since friday.  wanna know why?  because a snow storm hit us.  a snow storm so terrible it would make the abominable snow man cower in fear.  so, we've been enjoying each other's company at home.  

we had a tree fall on our car.  the deej cleared it off.  

our heater and water heater have both gone out on us.  the deej restored them both.  

we've had intermittent power failures.  the power keeps coming back on.   

there was a mandatory water conservation order.  it was lifted.

we've had good friends who were without power for 24 hours stay the day with us.  we had a delightful time.  

church was canceled.

school is canceled.

we're still being told to stay off the road.

oh... and guess what?  we're supposed to get ten more inches tomorrow.

no biggie.

here's the beginning of the storm on Friday night at 12:30am.  (If you look really closely, you can see the tail lights of a car that was going around the corner).

here's how much more snow we had only 7 1/2 hours later.

I hate the snow.

so where does this little guy get it from?

who knows? 

but he sure is cute.
